    Types of Therapy

    We offer accessible counseling services to individuals, couples, and families across diverse communities. Sessions are 50 minutes in length leaving room to bring topics/discussions/emotions to a composed state.

    Individual Therapy

    Individual counseling allows you to work one on one with a skilled therapist in a safe, confidential, and empathetic environment. Your therapist will be caring and create a private space for you, outside of your current system, where it is safe to explore yourself. Your counselor will help you look at experiences from childhood and adolescence to become aware of your current patterns of thought and behavior. This will you help you identify what gets in the way of you living your life the way you want to and will challenge you to change and grow.

    Couples Therapy

    Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy focused on helping a couple work through challenges, understand their relationship better, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.

    Perhaps your relationship is on the rocks and has been for what feels like an eternity. Maybe things may feel flat and distant and you're not sure how to bridge the abyss and desire a tune-up. Or, there are communication issues, difficulties around sex, affairs, or considering a breakup. It could be that your relationship feels pretty solid, but you've been hit by a crisis and are looking for the guidance of a professional.

    There is a natural apprehension of what might happen if we face our issues head-on. Because of that, couples often put it off a long time, allowing discord, disconnection, disagreements and distance to get worse and worse. Whatever the reason, whichever season, no matter the length or structure of your partnership, we are here to help by providing a fresh, impartial outlook in an encouraging and safe space to explore the challenges you are facing.

    Children and Teens Counseling

    Therapy helps teens understand the root cause of their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, and gives adolescents the tools to make beneficial changes to help them feel and function better. Counseling helps teens work through issues and empowers them to use what they learn to find solutions to the issues they face. Attending counseling sessions can help improve teen's self-confidence, overall mood, and self-esteem. Through therapy, teens learn and strengthen vital skills such as emotion regulation, effective communication, empathy, assertiveness, and self-awareness.Teen mental health Counseling is beneficial for teens experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.     With children, sand play, art, storytelling, and games to help children work through emotional and behavioral challenges.

    Because of their still developing, emotionally driven brains, teens are vulnerable to extreme emotions, underdeveloped impulse control, and Why Teens benefit from therapy. Adolescents experience emotions more intensely than adults. This can lead to extreme feelings of euphoria, anger, or sadness depending on the circumstance. Teens are at risk for anxiety and depression. In fact, depression is the most common emotional health issue facing teens. More than 3 million teens suffer depression (https://health.usnews.com/well...) youth ages 12 to 17 have at least one major depressive episode.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy are effect modalities for teens and children.

    Specialized-EMDR

    EMDR Therapy is unique in that clients may choose whether to share every detail of memory with the EMDR therapist or a brief overview for the intervention. The technique basically helps clients "re-file" memory into a place in the brain that is not at the forefront, so it does not continue to interfere with daily life. The first method of bilateral stimulation required eye movements, however, there are alternatives such as tapping and the use of a hand-held tapper. While this process may sound simple, there is an assessment and preparation involved prior to the actual bilateral stimulation. A skilled therapist will assess and provide EMDR if appropriate.
